1999 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS

    The MTV Video Music Awards
have grown up!

They're back in New York City (where they belong),
and September 9th, 1999 was an awesome evening.

CHRIS ROCK was the host.  Busy man.  On Sunday, September 12, 1999, his writers on his HBO show won an Emmy.  And we began taping the fourth season on Friday, September 17, 1999.

    While Radio City Music Hall is being renovated,
the awards were held at the Metropolitan Opera House.
                                            The set was one of the most amazing sets I have ever seen!
